Pet Surgery Pricing

Thank you for allowing us to treat your pet!

We highly recommend that each patient have a pre-surgical examination at our hospital prior to scheduling any surgery. We do require vaccinations and these can be updated at that time. You will also be provided a detailed estimate for care, in the event that there are unforeseen additional costs. Below you will find a list of an approximate estimate for what you should expect pet surgery prices to be. Please inquire about any procedures not listed.

Each of these prices have been formulated to include anesthesia/sedation and sometimes include any medication including antibiotics, pain meds, and fluids that our veterinarians deem necessary. It is impossible to be exact as prices vary based on medications and pet sizes etc. Additional fees you may incur at would be for Bloodwork, Biopsies or E collars

Bloodwork ($90+) is required for your pet. The bloodwork we perform shows us basic organ function values (kidney and liver) to help make the safest choices for anesthesia. This minimum panel may not be fully diagnostic. For this reason, it is always recommended that you discuss surgery and sedation at a preliminary exam with our veterinarian so we can follow your pet’s health if you have any concerns. It is important to remember there is always risk when sedating any living animal.

Biopsies ($144+) If we are removing a growth, a biopsy is the only way to determine if it is cancerous or benign. There are some areas of the body where the skin will not allow for “clean margins” and only a debulking of the mass can be achieved. If the growth was deemed benign prior to surgery, removing this extra margin of skin will not be necessary. If the veterinarian has not determined this, we will attempt to achieve “clean margins” meaning we will attempt to get as much of the mass off with as much visually healthy tissue as possible so if it is something scary like cancer, we get as much of it as possible. A biopsy is the only way to tell us if we were able to remove all of the affected cells. If you choose to perform a biopsy, we will contact you once the results are ready to arrange follow up care.

We perform most surgeries at our outpatient facilities, which means the pets go home the same day. While a lot of our clients take their pets home after surgery, sometimes if needed we may recommend overnight monitoring be performed at an emergency hospital, if 24-hour continued care is needed at your expense.

C-SECTION
We do not guarantee same day emergency surgeries. Our availability is dependent on hospital caseload and staffing. If your pet is in need of an emergency surgery, we recommend looking into local 24 hour emergency veterinary hospitals in your area. We require a veterinarian’s recommendation for a c-section and an x-ray, blood work and ultrasound may be needed to determine if our hospital is able to accommodate. X-rays are essential in helping to provide us with a puppy count to determine the amount of staff needed to help keep your pet as safe as possible. Dystocia that requires surgery or a Planned C-Section surgery will be at doctors discretion based on the health of your pet. We do not regularly spay the pet unless this is required to save the patient during surgery.

If a C-section is needed after hours, we may or may not be able to accommodate and pull together a team, and an emergency clinic may be required. We recommend doing the work before hand to avoid an emergency situation. A C-section is performed when a pet cannot deliver babies naturally, either because they are too big, malpositioned, or there are too many babies.

Dental Procedure Declining X-rays – $325+
Dental Procedure may include extractions and Full Dental X-Rays – $425-$1150

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering the option of dental radiographs for your pet! Radiographs are beneficial in allowing us to visualize the parts of your pet’s teeth that are underneath the gum line. Being able to see this area allows a better assessment of the overall oral health of your pet. Some of the conditions radiographs allow us to assess include, but are not limited to: bone loss, tooth resorption, tumors, retained roots and fractures. Full mouth radiographs before and after a dental procedure can help diagnose pre-existing problems and ensure that all problem teeth are fully addressed.
