Are you going on vacation and unable to bring your pet along for the trip? Do you need someone reliable to watch your companion while you’re out of town? If so, bring them to Veterinary Medical Center of Clayton, where we offer pet boarding for dogs, cats, and even exotic pets! Your pet can relax and even have some fun so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. We’ll make sure that your pet’s stay with us is as comfortable as possible and treat them as if they were our own pets.
Each pet is kept in an individual sleep and play area unless otherwise requested. If you plan to board more than one pet at a time and wish to board them together, we offer multiple pet runs and cages upon request. Birds, ferrets, rabbits and exotic pets are kept in separate, special boarding areas, if space allows. Unless otherwise specified, we feed our boarding patients premium foods while they are with us. If your pet is on any kind of medication, we are always happy to medicate pets for any medical problem they may have while they stay with us. These pets may include those with heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, or those with special dietary needs.
Please be aware that we now require a 50% reservation deposit for all future holiday boarding stays. Holidays include: Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. This also applies to stays over 14 days. The deposit must be processed prior to the start of the reservation. If the deposit is not submitted, the reservation will be subject to cancellation. Holiday reservations may be cancelled with at least seven days advance notice to receive a full refund of the deposit. No shows and reservations cancelled less than seven days prior will forfeit deposit.
What are the pick-up and drop-off times?
We do require dogs boarding to arrive by noon one day before a major holiday, such as the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, by noon on Christmas Eve and by noon on New Year’s Eve.
Can I drop off or pick up my dog on major holidays?
No. We are busy taking care of all the dogs that are boarding with us on major holidays and we are not staffed to handle arrivals and departures. We are closed to the public on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What is your after hours policy for drop-offs and pick-ups?
We will not accept arrivals or handle departures after regular business hours.
